Having gone through the first 2 major parts of the Book of Hebrews, where we studied the Superior Person of Christ and the Superior Order of Priesthood, we now deal with the last major part that deals with the Superior Principle of Faith.
Chapter 11 of Hebrews is known to many Bible students as the Bible Hall of Faith. Here we see how believers of God lived out their faith in the old days. From the author's perspective we can see that he intended to describe how faith works in the believer's life and how the "elders" demonstrated their faith in their lifetime.
In this part of the series, my goal is to give you the following:
- Four descriptions of faith (vv.1-3)
- Demonstrations of faith - how the elders demonstrated their faith in worship, in their walk, in work, in waiting and in warfare.
